Patrick Kane is re-joining the Chicago Blackhawks on a two-year contract, according to a report from Elliotte Friedman.
Kane, 37, is a right-winger who has spent the majority of his career with the Blackhawks. This season, he recorded 16 goals and 41 assists in 67 games, totaling 57 points. He also contributed 19 power-play points, though his plus-minus rating was -1.
The move brings Kane back to the team he helped lead to multiple Stanley Cup titles. His return is expected to provide veteran leadership and offensive production for the Blackhawks moving forward.
With Kane back in Chicago, the Blackhawks will look to build on their current roster and compete for a playoff spot in the Western Conference.
